The volume level of snoring of one of the participants is monitored as 67 people try to set up the world record of the number of sleepers snoring at the same time in Syma Hall in Budapest, Hungary, late 28 March 2009. An official record monitoring person certified the real sleep and the rhytmic snore of the participants, and also measured the volume of the snores. According to the official the highest number of those snoring at the same time was 16 and the loudest was a 98 decibel snore. The aim of the attempt, the first ever in the world according to organizers, was to raise awareness of the unhealthy effects of snoring
